Crisis Archive (2016-2020): 10 years ago, Lauren Bon, Richard Nielsen and I dreamed and schemed to begin a life changing project — the Crisis Archive. Over four years, I joined the Optics Division of Metabolic Studio to follow the frontlines of water, land, climate and people’s struggles across the continent — from LA to Standing Rock, Bolivia to Puerto Rico, from Mexico up to the border wall and beyond it.

 

I’m forever grateful to have seen and felt so much, and learnt from so many incredible revolutionaries, organizers, and artists over those years. This work would have never been the same without the core contributions of photographers Wil Sterner and Jessica Chappe, as well as archivists Carolyne Aycaguer and Jen Curtis.
